The Lace Lovers Club parcels have finally been sent out. Unfortunately due to bad planning and our holiday the first 2 weeks of August, the parcels went out 10 days late. Big apologies to all the very patient club members.

This means that it's time to make the May Lace Lovers club pattern available for general sale.

Fleur is my favourite shawl shape. It's a cross between a top down triangular and half-hexagon shawl. You can read more about these construction methods on my Tutorial page. Fleur starts just like a top down half hexagon shawl but after a few rows the increases for the centre triangle stops. This creates som gentle shoulder shaping which makes the shawl sit perfectly on the shoulders and rounds off the shawl a bit.

The lace motif for the side panels resembles flowers, hence the name: Fleur. The sample is knitted in the May Lace Lovers Club colourway. It's a Lacey Sock weight which is between a heavy laceweight and a sock yarn and perfect for shawls.
Have you tried the Lace Lovers Club yet? Feel like you're missing out? You can join now for the next round starting in October. The club is over 2/3 full so be quick.
