The Lace Lovers Club 2013

The Lace Lovers Club was launched in 2012 and has been a big success.

Members have been enjoying monthly parcels containing a skein of luxury, hand-dyed yarn and a lace pattern. For the first month you'll also receive a Lace Basics booklet (teaching you how to knit lace) and a tin of gorgeous Fripperies & Bibelots handmade, beaded stitch markers which are perfect for lace knitting.

The first month you'll receive a skein of sock yarn, the second month you'll receive a skein of heavy lace (800m/100gr) and the third month a skein of fine lace (1200m/100gr) plus a suitable pattern each month. There will be some exclusive new patterns next year.

The yarn bases used in the past includes baby camel/silk, merino/silk, bluefaced leicester/silk, merino/bamboo and sparkly merino/silk/stellina. All very luxurious!

The retail price of this club is over £70.
Prices have increased a bit for next year. I did some numbers and realised that with the 2012 prices I was hardly making any profit on this club and its a lot of work. Prepping the yarn for dyeing and dyeing the yarn takes a day and labelling the yarn, printing the newsletter and packing the parcels takes at least half a day.So with the extra admin that's at least 2 full days each month. But I love it and as long as members enjoy taking part I will continue with the club and I'm really excited about 2013.
