I'm so excited to finally be able to release Tribeca. I first cast on for this shawl when we went to Scotland in May and finished it very quickly. However the last three months have been very busy and I've has a few health issues so it's taken me until now to finally get the pattern finished. I'm in love with this shawl though and it's worth the wait.
Tribeca is knitted in a gorgeous merino/cashmere/nylon blend - MCN Sock - from The Yarn Therapist. She offers yarn in various skein sizes and blends. I used the MCN Sock, 150g in the colourway 'Electric Eleven + Purple'. Here's a direct link to the colourway I used. This colourway is also available in pure merino and a merino/nylon blend.
Jennifer who runs The Yarn Therapist has generously offered YarnAddict readers a 20% discount on orders over US $50 until 31 October 2016. Use discount code: yarnaddicttanni (please note there's two t's in there).
Tribeca is a crescent shawl worked from the top down with a slightly unusual shaping in a combination of easy lace and garter stitch.
Below is a blocking photo which shows how the shawl blocks out.
I really enjoyed knitting Tribeca and I'm tempted to cast on for another version as I need an easy shawl project for next week. I really enjoyed knitting with The Yarn Therapist MCN Sock which is dyed in this gorgeous rainbow self-striping colourway but this shawl can also be worked in a solid colour or why not use gradient mini skeins to knit Tribeca? The choice is yours.
