Making Me Happy!

Being home and seeing my parents have made me very happy this week. My parents arrived on Monday night and leave tomorrow.

There were lots of parcels waiting for me when I got back from Jersey and among the goodies were some yarn for my first few book designs. This got sent straight out to my knitters. Yesterday another parcel of book yarn arrived and this time I remembered to photograph it. This is Malabrigo Lace (green) and Malabrigo Sock (blue).

There were some fabric parcels too. Lots of 5inch charm packs for Vanessa and Emily's quilts. Vanessa's birthday is in 2 weeks so I've got to crack on with her quilt. I've got a stack of pieced squares so next job is to press the seams and start joining them into blocks.

My Sweet Georgia Fibre Club parcel also arrived and I love the colour and this month's BFL fibre.

Emily want a quilt in blues and greens so I got this solid fat quarter bundle too.

I knew my Mum was knitting these slippers for the girls but was surprised when I got a pair too. The pattern is from Eline Oftedal's Knit Nordic book which I bought my Mum for her birthday in November. I've been wearing them all week. My feet are always cold but not with these wool slippers. They have leather soles stitched on and are super wash.

I love coming home to packages in the mail (though sometimes I get them sent to work so I don't have to bother someone to take me to the post office to pick them up). The slippers look great!
