Last year I spent a lot of time working on new crochet designs. Two of those designs have now been published.
I crocheted this sample and I really loved the yarn. It was grey but with little 'slubs' of pale blue and a beautiful yarn to crochet with. I'd love to make one of these for myself. Its my favourite crochet design so far!
Lady Grey is worked in two pieces with very simple shaping. Stitches are added at the underarm for the sleeves. The stitch pattern works up very quickly as it has rows of long loopy chains which add length very quickly.
Wilma is a cap sleeved waistcoat with a solid yoke and lacy lower body. The yoke is worked first from the bottom up. Then the lower body is worked from the top down in one piece.
The yarn for Wilma was new to me. Its Brown Sheep Cotton Fine which is a 4ply/fingering weight cotton which makes this the perfect top to wear over pretty summer dresses.
Thank you to Leni for making the sample for me!
You can see the rest of the designs from this issus here.
