Knitscene Fall 2012

The preview  of Knitscene Fall 2012 from Inteweave is now up, the magazine goes on sale in July. I've got 2 designs in this issue.

'Hither' is a gorgeous, fairytale-like sweater knitted in Mirasol Tuhu which is a gorgeous soft blend. It's the first time I've knitted with Tuhu and I really enjoyed it.
'Hither' has a diamond lace panel on the front and back of the sweater and on the bottom of the bell sleeves.
On the front the lace panel continues in a single diamond strip up to the v-neck then continues either side of the v-neck. There is also a lace panel below the back neckline.
This sweater is very soft & feminine and has waist shaping too. I'd love to knit this one for myself in time for the autumn, if only i have time.
My second design is 'Kennedy' which is a sweater with an assymetrical cable panel on the front. This sweater is knitted in one piece in the round with raglan shaping. The yarn is Artesano Superwash Merino which is one of my favourite merino yarns. It's a great all round yarn.

The sleeves look a little long but can easily be shortened by working fewer rounds before joining them to the body to work the raglan yoke. This is the perfect sweater for autumn and winter and will keep you warm on chilly days.
We got back from Cumbria yesterday evening after a great weekend at Woolfest. This year was our best ever Woolfest. We had a fabulous time and I'd like to say a big thank you to all those who stopped by to chat, buy and watch my 'knitting with beads' demo. I'll blog more about Woolfest tomorrow. My main priority today is to unpack the yarn and to list it on the website.

If you missed out on shawl pins at Woolfest, we sold out of the aluminium once very quickly, they'll be on the website later. I came home to another shawl pin parcel so there will be lots on the website later today. I'll aim to get the website updated and online again by lunchtime/early afternoon.
