Beautiful Lace

Okay, so I did get nearly all the jobs done this morning apart from the ironing and the packing. I'm only going to iron the stuff I want to take with me and leave the rest.

And here are some beautiful pics. This is the 'Alpine Lace Scarf' from Victorian Lace Today. I love the way it turned out. It's knitted in Posh Yarn's Sophia 2ply (laceweight cashmere) and i used 3 55gr (400yrds) skeins.

Also knitted this hat today, which is based on my 'Falling in Love' sock pattern. It's knitted in GarnStudio's alpaca 4ply. Perfect for NOrway.

I knitted the same hat a week ago in Jaeger merino 4ply but did 10 rounds less and it was too small for me. But I do prefer the way the pattern shows up in this yarn much better than the alpaca.

Your shawl is gorgeous! It's great that it worked out with the darker yarn on each end. The hat is great, too! Lavender seems to be your color:) Very nice.

Thank you Hege. I do love any colours like lavender, purple, lilac, violet, pinks. Both pale and bright colours.

You are so clever Anni! Your knits are always so beautiful, especially the shawl. I love the hat, and agree I think the stitch pattern looks better in the Jaeger merino.
