Since joining the Angel Yarns Knitting Forum about 6 months ago I've been on there nearly every day and have made some wonderful cyber friends. I've had a fantastic time on there. But something has happened recently.... and I'm not sure what..... All of a sudden my membership has been cancelled. Don't know why but I'm not on the membership list anymore. I'm sad that this has happened and upset at not being told why especially as I wasn't aware I'd done something wrong or broken any rules.
So I'm taking this opportunity to say 'bye' to my fellow Angels. I'm sure I'll see quite of few of you around in cyber space - on your blogs, other forums etc. I've learnt a lot during my time on the forum. I've given knitting socks a chance and discovered I actualy love it. I've got the hang of felting properly. And I blame the forum members for encouraging me to try lace which I now love knitting. In fact mixing lace and sock knitting seem to be my new obsession now as I'm knitting lacy socks like mad and even having a go at designing my own sock patterns.
I shall miss all you angels a lot and hope to keep in touch with most of you through your blogs and other forums.
If any moderators or administrators from the AY forum read this please do not take this as any sort of criticism etc of the forum. As I didn't get a chance to say good bye on the forum, I decided to do it this way.

I'm really sorry to hear that Anni, I'm sure if you contacted Tess you could find out what happened, if you really don't know why you got deleted then maybe it was an error - there's been a lot of mess going on in the forum lately.
In fact have you heard it's closing - they have decided to start fresh and will be charging to try and keep out the nasties. I will keep an eye on your blog so don't think you'll lose all your Angel friends :-)
Hi Diane. I've tried contacting AY twice now via e-mail and no reply and I don't think I'll get one either. Don't think it was a mistake. I was barred from sending pms about a week before Iwas banned and posted a message about it asking why adn it was deleted immediately. Several other people have been deleted over the last two months and have no idea why. Well, they have their suspicions but I don't want to discuss that their (sorry, but I'm sure you'll understand). I won't be joining the new club either. I'd love to keep in touch with you and your blog is on my favourites. I've just joined a new forum http://knitting.forumhum.com/index.php which is just starting up. Please come and join us on there. Sorry to hear about your experience with the AYF. You are not the only one who has been barred for no apparent reason. I don't want to get into specifics either, but I do think the problem mainly lies from within and will be carried over to the new forum.
When I left voluntarily, my goodbye message was deleted within an hour even though it didn't contain anything controversial, other than being a goodbye message.
thank you for your support Jacqui. I've heard a few things since I left too. And I'm quite shocked and pleased to be out of it now. There are other forums around. The new knitting connection forum and knitting haven forum are the ones I'm concentrating on now.
I am so sorry that you have been left upset by any contact and hope I have never addded to that in any way. It's such a shame as surely all we do is come together to share our love of yarn and knitting?? Am still following your blog and keeping up to date with your knitting accomplishments, Anni.
Thank you Angie. No, you've never done anything to upset me. Don't know what's happened really. First I lost my pms and then I was barred with no explanation or warning. Several others have been barred too without knowing why. As far as I can see they haven't posted anythign offensive or abused the forum in any way. I'm hearing bits and pieces though that I find worrying. Not saying anymore on here though. I'm on knitting connection forum and knitting haven forum now (both urls in my side bar). Hi Anonomous. They've also got rid of decent members. Obviously you're not very decent as you've posted anonomously. What a wimp you are! The ones I've heard about being deleted were all decent members who contributed regularly. I assume as you're posting anonomously that you are either one of the administrators or moderators of the AY forum.
