Summer on the needles

Looking at what's on my needles today, it's looking very summery but the weather outside is making me want to wrap up in wool and stay inside and knit. It's cold, very wet and blustery. But I did finish my colourful Mille Collori shawl - Grand Bazaar - earlier this week and pre-orders for the Grand Bazaar kit will be listed next week. I'm going to London for a long weekend tomorrow and I've been trying to finish a new poncho in Navia Bummull as it'll be a perfect layering garment if it's a bit chilly. I need to finish it before bed tonight and block it overnight and hope it dries. I've got 6 very long rounds to go and it's nearly bedtime as I write this.

Above and below are a couple of early progress photos of the poncho. I'm hoping to have the pattern ready for Woolfest. I'm really enjoying knitting with this yarn.

I've also got a shawl on the needles, also in Navia Bummull which I'd like to finish in time for Woolfest as I plan to have a selection of Bummull on my stall. I'm probably 1/3 of the way through this shawl. This will be my travel project in London this weekend. Beaded lace knitting isn't ideal for knitting on the tube and in other public places but I'm going for it.

I may take this shawl too. It's been on hold since we got back from Jersey. It does have lace and beads but there's a lot of garter stitch too.
