Finished project and sunshine

Feels like ages since I've shown you what I'm working on at the moment.  I actually managed to finish my big grey/pink shawl last week. This is a huge shawl. We had beautiful weather over the weekend but we were so busy I forgot to schedule a photo shoot and now it's raining and I'm desperate to get photos done. The pattern is in tech editing so hopefully I may be able to release it in about two weeks time. I'm also thinking about setting up a pre-order for kits for this shawl. If you're interested in a kit, make sure you're signed up to my newsletter as there may be details in this week's newsletter which will go out tomorrow or Friday.

I've still not decided on a name for this shawl. I've asked for suggestions on Facebook and Instagram but I've not had time to go through the suggestions yet.

I put another garter stitch shawl on hold to work on the grey/pink shawl so as soon as I finished that I got back to work on my pastel shawl. I wasn't sure how to proceed with the pattern but having a break from it gave me some clarity and I immediately decided how to proceed and I'm on the final lace pattern. I'm hoping I'll finish it today or tomorrow.

We had glorious weather last weekend. We've got a long, tall, natural, leafy hedge along one side of our property. It was the hedge that originally divided two fields. We always get birds nesting in there each spring so the race was on to cut it down a bit and trim it before the birds started nesting. Simon spent most of Saturday on a ladder leaning up against the hedge and my job was to stand on the bottom of the ladder to make sure it didn't slide. I was listening to an audio book on my phone and I cast on for a new deadline shawl which had an easy start.

I got quite a bit done. For the last half of the hedge, I had to put the knitting down as the ladder position was a bit more precarious. The weather was warm and sunny so I quite enjoyed it.

On Sunday we went to Par Sands which is a lovely beach which allows dogs. The beach was full of families and dogs. Simon was messing around with a kite so I walked the dog a big and then sat down with my knitting for a bit. I was wearing the new grey/pink shawl.

I also got a new project bag last week. It's from Little Grey Girl and I LOVE the fabric. It's already in use and I think it'll become one of my favourites.
