Its been a whirlwind of a week! Recovering and reflecting on my first Mastering Lace Knitting Retreat last weekend, trying and failing to catch up on pattern writing , knitting deadlines and e-mails, teaching a workshop yesterday and getting ready for my next workshop on Friday at Social Fabric in Totnes.
At the moment I'm on the train to London where I'm meeting up with Vanessa, who's travelling up from Cardiff. We're off to Norway for a few days. We're only going for 6 days and I wish we could stay longer but I'm still looking forward to seeing my parents and my sister's family again.
This autumn is my busiest ever so a few days relaxation will recharge me for a busy November and December.
I've drawn the winner of the Fab Funky Fibres sock yarn. The winner is Pencraft on Ravelry. I've messaged you! Didn't win? Check out Fab Funky Fibres on Etsy.
I had hoped to take a Fab Funky Fibres project on holiday with me but I've had to take two deadline projects. I've also brought a new lacy hand warmers design. I've charted it out and cast on but that's it. And I forgot to take a photo before I packed it.
I did finish these bright and cheerful hand warmers this week. The yarn is from Devon Sun Yarns. Pattern will be published in December.
I've got an hour till I get to London. I've got my knitting and audio book but first I need a nap. I upgraded to First Class which is cheap on the weekend. Its quiet, comfy, sunny and we're travelling through beautiful scenery. Below is the Tamar Bridge between Devon and Cornwall.
Enjoy your weekend x
