Since the Ravelry Day in Coventry I've had a bit of a break from yarn dyeing but this weekend i realised it's time for the
Sock Variety Club again. It's kind of taken me by surprise this month. In July there won't be a new sock patterns so I've got to choose one of my existing patterns to use. The yarn arrived on Friday and this morning I dyed some trial skeins. I've got a couple of ideas for the colourway for July but I've still not decided and I need to decide today as the yarn will be dyed tomorrow. If you wish to
sign up you need to be quick. It's nearly full.

No new knitting pics today. I've done a few more reps on the Supreme Lace Shawl. But not enough to make it worth taking a new pic. I've been doing more swatching. I did a swatch for a new garment design in a Rowan silk yarn. I'm a little bit concerned about how well it wears. So I've washed the swatch and dryed it and I'm bashing it about a bit to decide whether i want to use it or not. Then I've got to decide which mag to e-mail it to. I've also worked ona lace swatch and I'm not sure yet whether it'll be a design I can share or a secret design. I'm working on the border of the swatch now and when it's finished and blocked I'll make a decision about what to do with it.
I've not knitted any socks for a while. But tonight I need to get a pair on the needles. I've been working on swatches and ideas for the
Yarn 4 Socks club and hope to get it on the needles properly by tomorrow. I'm not sure yet how much I can share of this yet.
So what did I dye today? I did some trial skeins for the
Sock Variety Club and the
Yarn 4 Socks Club and then I dyed some of my new lace yarn which is gorgeous. I'm thinking about using it for the Lace Variety Club in July so I did some trial skeins for club colourways. And then I added some Exotic Cobweb lace as well which will be in the shop in a few days. I'll be doing more dyeing tomorrow. The
Sock Variety Club yarn and some Silky Merino I think. At least the weather is goo so I can get it dry quickly.
