Troms - A New Pattern & Blocking Tutorial

I'm excited to introduce Troms which is an asymmetrical peaked crescent worked from the top corner to the lace edging and is finished off with a beaded picot cast-off. Easy lace and beads are combined with garter stitch for a quick to knit accessory. The colours reminded me of the Northern Light seen in the North of Norway so I named this shawl after one of Norway’s northern counties - Troms.

Troms is knitted in the new Zauber Flower from Schoppel. I love this yarn. It's the same as Zauberball 100 but it comes in a larger 150g ball with 600m so it's perfect for a shawl.

I have a selection of kits available in a choice of colours. The kits are already discounted and include the yarn, beads and pattern download. All you will need is 4mm (US 6) knitting needles and a 0.75mm crochet hook for adding beads - tutorial on adding beads here. Order your kit here.

I often get questions about blocking this shape shawl so I recorded a blocking tutorial which you can watch here. I apologise for the colour issue in this video. I'm not sure quite what happened.
