Fancy a Candy Cane?

Candy Cane flows from a point into wide lace border to form a gently peaked, asymmetrical crescent. This shawl alternates between garter stitch and lace with a scattering of beads for an elegant accessory.

I knitted this shawl in Växbo Lingarn 12/2 from Knit With Atittude. I used one skein each of the Silver Grey and Cerise. You can purchase the yarn here.

Of course I had to add beads and I used Debbie Abrahams size 6 beads in the colour 340 Pebble (you need 133 beads which is one bag of the Debbie Abrahams beads). Here's my tutorial on adding beads using the crochet hook method.

Linen yarn feels crisp to knit with but it softens as you work with it and start wearing it. It's a light weight yarn and perfect for hot weather but also great in the winter if you want a beautiful accessory without the warmth of wool. Of course you can also knit this shawl in any yarn that has 400-420m per 100g skein.
