Knitting in the sun!

Our Spanish holiday is coming to an end. We go home tomorrow evening. I had plans for all sorts of blog posts but I've been too busy enjoying relaxing. I was silly busy before we left and my autumn will be my busiest term ever. I've got 19 workshops + the Mastering Lace Knitting Retreat coming up. In addition to that there will be the clubs & magazine/yarn company commissions. And I'm in talks about a couple of other exciting ventures.

So to be able to fit in 2 weeks of hot sunshine and relaxation was perfect! We are so blessed that my parents own this flat and allow us to use it. Talking of my parents, they're coming this afternoon so we'll get to spend 1.5 day with them.

I'll do another post and share a bit more about our holiday but, apart from yesterday when it rained and temperatures dropped 10 degrees Celsius, its been HOT!! But I still knitted! On the beach and by the pool I've been knitting a pair of socks while I listened to an audio book. Yarn is La Bien Aimée MCN Light. Love this yarn and colour!

I took a skein of Caterpillargreen Shawl Stripes in the Concrete and Tulips colourway and had some vague ideas of what I wanted to design but I had nothing written out. I swatched several ideas and ended up with this: a combination of eyelets and garter stitch. There will be more lase towards the end. I'm really enjoying the colour changes. I'm adding beaded picots too!

Pandora from the Between The Lines collection was published just before I left for Spain and, although version 1 was a lot of blood, sweat and tears as version 1.1 was a complete failure and I knitted 80% of the shawl twice, I just had a sudden urge to knit it in 6 Karat in a solid colour. So far I'm loving it! I've just started Chart D.

It's still a bit cool and there are heavy clouds left from yesterday but the sunshine is trying to break through and I'm hoping we can spend the morning by the pool.

The YarnAddict Shop has re-opened but no orders will be posted till Wednesday
