Its finished!

After a huge push this weekend my book is finished. It took 10 hours of knitting on Saturday and 8 hours of computer work (mainly on Sunday) to finish the last project, finalise the last few patterns and the techniques chapter. This batch of designs are on their way to New York for the photoshoot which is at the end of this week.

I also did 5 hours of knitting on Sunday to finish another magazine deadline. Simon booked 3 days off work this week so I've taken 3 days off too. Yesterday we went to Creationfest in Wadebridge. Creationfest is a week long Christian music festival. There's music, worship and teaching every day plus lots of stuff for kids and young people.

We attended the two morning teaching and worship sessions. And yea I took my knitting (and had my Bible open in my Kindle app during the teaching).

You might think that after 13 hours of knitting this weekend I might need a day off but I cast on for a fun, quick little shawlette in Madeline Tosh Merino Light. Its a pure merino singles yarn and I had nearly a full skein left over from a book project. I just love the colour! (And yes that a hot choc WITH marshmallows and cream!)

Yesterday evening I got my sewing machine out for the first time in weeks. I've got a week to finish 2 single quilts for my Mum. The first quilt top is 3/4 done.

I'm using a batik jelly roll with pinks, plums and purples.
