Making Me Happy!

One of my goals this year was to improve my fitness and health. As part of this I try to get out on my bike every week. We've had a sunny weekend and this afternoon we decided to go for a bike ride on the Camel Trail from Bodmin to Wadebridge.

Emily set the pace and went quite fast for me. We did 9 miles in an hour. It was an enjoyable ride but the Camel Trail is very popular. The section which runs from Wadebridge to Padstow is more popular.

We were on the 'quiet' section of this trail but it was full of walkers, cyclists, strollers, dogs, kids, runners and a couple of mobility scooters. Lots of people out enjoying the Cornish sunshine!

The trail is an old railway track and a few platforms are still there. The one above is actually the platform for a local steam railway.

When we got back to the car park, we headed for the pub next door for a cold drink and a shared bowl of chips. That's what I call a good Sunday afternoon!

What did you do this weekend?
