Some pretty things have been arriving in the last week. First, my copy of Vogue Knitting Fall (which is called Designer Knitting in the UK).
My Lace & Fisherman's Rib Sweater looks great.
A few weeks ago, I gave in to temptation and ordered some goodies from Bijou Basin Ranch. I've heard a lot about their yarn on various podcasts and on Twitter and I'm so excited to be able to try out their goodies. The pink skein is Shangri-La which is a blend of yak and silk, the two purple balls in the front are Seraphim which is a blend of Angora and Viscose and the last 2 balls are Roslyn which is a blend of Cotton and Cashmere. I'm tempted to cast on for a new shawl in either Seraphim or Shangri-La to knit on our trip to Yorkshire and Glasgow next week. Problem is I've got a deadline project to knit on and i've cast on for a hand-spun project. I'll let you know what i decide.Since I got my sewing machine I've been browsing some fabric sites. So much tempting stuff. I've always loved Orla Kierly's bags but I don't like the price tag so when I found some Orla Kierly fabric on Ebay I bought it. I've got 1m of each print. I'll be making bags but want to practice a bit more first.
I'm in the middle of Yarndale preparation at the moment. I'm also packing up the Lace Lovers Club September parcels. The next round will be the last one with hand-dyed yarn. In 2014 I will no longer be using my own hand-dyed yarn for the club. This weekend's Yarndale will be the last show where you can buy my hand-dyed yarn. Yes, I'm giving up dyeing yarn completely. The Lace Lovers club may continue in 2014 but if it does it'll use commercially dyed yarn.
Tormorrow will be the last opportunity to sign up for the October to December Lace Lovers Club. I will be closing the online shop for about 10-14 days from tomorrow. If there are spaces left, you can still sign up at Yarndale.
