Cover Girl!

Look!

 Another cover!

The new issue of Let's Knit landed on my door mat this morning. I've only had a chance to have a quick flick through the magazine but it looks like a fab issue.
My cozy cable sweater, Anita, is knitted from the gorgeous West Yorkshire Spinners Bluefaced Leicester. I love this yarn and I do have a design due out in Knitting magazine using the same yarn. You can see a preview here.

Anita is worked from the top down in one piece with set in sleeves. Try the sweater on as you go to customise length. You may need more yarn if you decide to make it longer.
The sweater has elbow length sleeves which is a great trend for this coming winter. Being pure very soft wool (no scratchy sweaters here) it'll be very warm. Layer it over a long-sleeved t-shirt for a chilly autumn weekend. It's actually quite hot here in Cornwall this week but if you want something warm and snuggly to wear when the cold autumn weather hits, you'd better start knitting it now.

A big thank you to Frances who knitted this sample for me.

I love the big ribbed cowl collar on this sweater. You can make it even bigger if you want to.
Do check out West Yorkshire Spinners. They have some great yarn spun in Yorkshire from British sheep. I've spent the summer designing some lovely sweaters and cardigans for their Birds collection print dk yarn. We're off to Yorkshire in just over a month's time and I'm looking forward to visiting them.

It's my birthday this weekend and it's also a long weekend. So I thought I'd do something special and have some exciting offers for you. Each offer will only be valid on one day - either Saturday, Sunday or Monday. I'll be sending out a newsletter today with the details and I'll be tweeting and blogging about them too. So do make sure you visit the blog or follow me on Twitter over the weekend.
