Have you heard of The Making Spot? The Making Spot is run by Future Publishing who publishes The Knitter and Simply Knitting. Patterns previously published in the magazines are for sale on the site and the designer gets a percentage.
Several American magazines have pattern websites selling previously published patterns but as far as I know this is the first British magazine to do this. I don't have time to self-publish all my former magazine designs once the exclusivity period expires. It takes time to re-format the pattern to my style sheet, take new photos, get the pattern tech edited so if I can earn some more money from my patterns by the magazine selling them, that's great.
Jade is knitted in Fyberspates Scrumptious and was another cover design for The Knitter:
Or if a bit of fair isle takes your fancy. Winter violets:
Or what about the stunning Irma half circle shawl:
The Making Spot sells patterns and projects from all Future Publishing craft magazines so there's other craft stuff there too. There's also lots of other things to explore. Why not take a look now!
