The Annabel Cowl

The second design in the Amazing Luxury Knits collection was published yesterday. For this month I decided to go for a quick knit which is a perfect project to knit as a present or a treat for yourself. The Annabel cowl is knitted in Handmaiden Great Big Sea from Purlescence. You can use any luxurious dk yarn though.

The Annabel cowl comes in one generous size. Emily modelled this cowl for me. She's a skinny 13 year old and the cowl fitted her as well as it fits me who's not skinny and not 13. You can easier make it bigger or smaller if you prefer.

The cowl is knitted in the round with picot hems. There are two options for working the picot hems. The easy version and a more advanced version using a provisional cast on. The pattern includes instructions for both.

The pattern is available as a single pattern and as part of The Amazing Luxury Knits. If you subscribe to Amazing Luxury Knits by end of October you save £2. I've extended that to the end of today. Tomorrow, Thursday, the price will increase to £12. But if you hurry up and sign up now you'll only pay £10. If you've already subscribed to Amazing Luxury Knits then your pattern will be waiting for you on Ravelry.

Going back to Purlescence, I'm due to teach an Easy Lace workshop on 10 March. More details will follow soon. Contact Purlescence, which is based near Oxford, if you're interested.

Thank you, Ann. I'm loving wearing it. Need one in purple too.
