Overwhelmed

I keep thinking about blogging but so much has happened in the last 2 weeks I feel a bit overwhelmed trying to get it all written down. Also, i have no pics to accompany my post as I still don't have a camera and my phone still hasn't been returned. Simon's SLR is too big to carry around with me.

First, I'll have a moan about my phone. I love my new HTC mobile but I dropped it 2 weeks ago. I posted it to HTC for repairs which I had to pay for. They told me it would take 7 working days. After 4 or 5 working days i finally got a quote which i paid immediately. It's now been 10 working days and still no phone. I've run them every day this week and yesterday afternoon my phone had still not been repaired. Last week HTC said it takes 7-10 working days for non-warranty repairs. Well, time's up and where's my phone? I got very stroppy with them yesterday and I will be making another phone call very soon.

Last week was out church's annual Bible Week which was great. We had great teaching every day from our two pastors. It was a busy week and I was exhausted by the end of it.

On Wednesday last week my parents arrived. They had thursday and Friday on their own as we were still at Bible Week. But we had a great weekend with them. On Saturday we visited Castle Drogo on Dartmoor. If you scroll down a month or two you can see pics from when simon and i visited a couple of months ago.

On Sunday we went to the Eden Project. Again, photos from there in previous posts. One of my big challenges over the weekend were all the meals out we had. We had 2 lunches out and 1 evening meal out. I have to eat a no-fat (or in reality as low fat a diet as I can manage) diet because of gall stones. Two of the places we had meals the menus were full of red meat, fried food and chips with everything. I'm not allowed any of that. Even salads contain cheese (not allowed) or fried, battered chicken. At one pub I did manage to get them to make me a gorgeous chicken salad with roast chicken but it wasn't cheap.

My parents left on Monday to drive to Spain where they're spending 2 months. Lucky them!

Simon is still on holiday this week so we've had more days out. We've been to Creation Fest, which is a christian festival taking place in Wadebridge, twice this week and we're off there this morning. Vanessa is camping with her youth group this week.

Next post I promise some knitting updates and knitting pics.
