This and That

We'll start with the cover of the current issue of Knit (formerly Yarn Forward) which featured my design on the cover.

Also look out for the next issue of The Knitter which will be out soon and I've got a shawl in it. It's beautiful and the editor of The Knitter told me yesterday the photos are beautiful. I can't wait to see it.

I'm itching  to get started on some new lace designs right now. My head is full of ideas but I'm trying to finish off my new version of the Carmen shawlette before I go to Wonderwool. I'm also thinking about launching this shawl at Wonderwool if it'll stop raining so I can go outside and get some better photos.

It was supposed to be kept for the Easy Lace E-book but I'm thinking of launching it as a preview for the E-book and offer everone who buys it a discount on the E-book when it comes out which will hopefully be May.

I'm up to my ears in yarn dyeing right now. This week i've dyed Silky Merino Lace, Silky BFL Lace, Supreme Sock, Bamboozle Sock. I've still got to dye Twinkletoes Sock, Fairytale sock, Dreamy Lace, Supreme Lace and hopefully some Silken  Sock and Lace. Yeah and we leave on Friday morning and all this yarn still has to dry and be labelled and packed.

Watch this space to see if I'm still sane by Friday morning.

UK postage prices have gone up this week but I'm too busy to start fiddling with my postage settings on the website so I will leave postage as it is until next week when it will unfortunately have to go up. Yarn wholesale prices have gone up a lot in the last year due to global demand. I'm trying to keep my prices as low as possible and they are lower than most other UK indie dyers but in order to do this I need to charge postage at actual cost.
