Now is also the time to sign up for January clubs. The new round of the Easy Lace Club starts this month and i'll be sending the first parcel out next week. Next chance to sign up for this club which will teach you how to knit lace will be April. You will receive a skein of luxury sock yarn and a pattern and tutorial designed to teach you all the lace basics including how to knit yarn overs and various decreases, how to read a lace chart, how to knit a triangular or half-hexagon shawl and how to work a knitted on border.

The Sock Variety Club parcels are due out next week too and the Lace Variety Club is due out by middle of the month. I keep forgetting to take pics of the club yarns to show off on the blog but I will try to dig out some spare skeins of the last few months clubs to show off.

Most of my knitting time today (and there hasn't been much) has been taken up by a small secret project. I knitted half of it on Sunday/Monday and decided Monday evening I wasn't happy with it. So re-started it and have finished the first half. I'm hoping to get most of the second half done tonight and finished tomorrow.

Once that's done I'm going to dig out all the knitting I took to Norway and take stock of what I managed to get done and try to finish off some projects. i have far too many wips on the go right now and need to get some stuff off the needles. More yarn arrived today too for new secret projects.

I've also been thining about what my goals will be for 2011 and I've got some exciting plans but I'll share more about that next time as I need to get some pattern writing done before I get too tired. Both Simon and I have come down with nasty colds today. Probablyy the result of our flight back from Norway
