Another day, another magazine!

Actually, it's another two magazines. Yes, yesterday the new issues of Knitting and Let's Knit arrived and I've got designs in both. Let's look at Knitting first. here's the front cover:
And here's my Cherish shawl worked in Artesano Alpaca Inca Mist dk.  It's knitted sideways intowards the middle (just like the Friendship shawl) with the body in garter stitch and a beautiful wavy edging. I did a flower brooch in Kidsilk Haze to go with it too.
Here's a closeup of that wavy edging:
 And on my dress form:

 I love that edging:
You can make it as big or small as you want. It's a design that makes yarn substitution easy. Even knitting it in different yarn weights is easy. Just use half your yarn for each half of the shawl and graft the halves together.

Let's Knit front cover:
Introducing Sara knitted in Rowan Silk Twist which is a brand new yarn. The sweater has a very low v-neck, mock lacy cables and is incredibly soft and comfy. Perfect for chilly winter evenings.

I love the photos in the mag:

A close up of the stitch pattern:
 The neckline:
Unfortunately sweaters never look as good on a dress form as they do on real people:
I was also mentioned on Let's Knit yarn review page. they reviewed Ocean Silk which is the pink skein in the bottom left hand corner. And in the column on the right, Trinity is mentioned. This is my shawl which is free in return for a donation to MSF. And below it my Miyu scarf is mentioned too.
and the cardigan on the 'comin in the next issue' page is mine.

Today I've had two yarn parcels with lots of new yarns. I've got a brand new high twist Falkland merino sock yarn, BFL/bamboo blend, BFL/cashmere/nylon blend and some sparkly sock yarn. I'll share more info in the next post. for any sock club members who're wondering where there parcel is I'll be sending out a newsletter later today or tomorrow morning. Due to yarn shortages the yarn will be dyed over the weekend or on Monday and will be posted next week. I'll be sending out a newsletter to all my club members explaining the situation re yarn problems and posting dates later today or tomorrow morning.

Have a lovely weekend x
