A birthday treat

Tomorrow, 25th August, is my birthday. Yeah!  As I'm feeling generous I'm going to include anyone who places an order tomorrow in a prize draw to win a £10 gift voucher. so if you place an order which is dated 25 August you will go in a draw for a £10 gift voucher, if you live in a different time zone and it's still 25th with you, leave me a note with the order and you'll be included too. Ofcourse there isn't a huge choice right now as the yarn i dyed yesterday still isn't dry. It looked hopeful today as it was dry and windy but I've just got the yarn in and it's still quite damp. The Silky Camel may be dry enough to take photos tomorrow but it's doubtful.

Anyway, there will be Silky Camel, Ocean Silk and Pure Silk Lace coming as soon as it's dry, probalby Thursday or Friday. I've got some more Ocean Silk to dye as well as some Merino Plus Sock. I'm hoping to dye this on Friday together with some fibre. And I need to place an order for some new yarn as my stock of un-dyed yarn is almost non-existent right now.

I took some pics of the yarn on the washing line today. Want a peak?

Aren't those colours beautiful?

I did some machine knitting today and finished the sleeves on my silk sweater. I had hoped to finish this before we went to Spain but that didn't happen. I've made it up tonight and just need to do the neck band. I'm doing that by hand as doing it on the machine is too fiddly for me, also I want to do a few rounds, probably 4 or 6, of garter stitch. As this yarn came un-dyed on cones I knitted it straight from the cone. Once I've done the neck band I'll dye the sweater. I'd hoped to get it done and dried so I could take it to knitting group on Thursday but it's not enough time. It'll take at least a couple of days to dry for starters. I can't wait to show off this sweater, I'm so proud of it.

My parents gave me money for my birthday and I spent a little bit of it on a bracelet in Spain and the rest I spent at Purlescense last night. I got some great bargains in the sale and had an e-mail today saying it's been posted so I'm hoping it may arrive tomorrow. I'm off for an early night. I'm tired and my back is not good and I've got a new Debbie Macomber book to read.

Nite x

Ooh some gorgeous colours there, I especially like the green (as it's my favourite colour!) and the yellow, just gorgeous.
