Just a quick hello. We've had a great time in Norway and we're going home on Saturday. Tomorrow will be a busy day as we're looking after my nephews who are 4 and nearly a year old. Then it's packing in the evening.
I'll tell share some pictures and talk more about the holiday when we get home. I've tried to spend as little time as possible on the computer while we've been here, and it's been nice to have a break from it. But I've got lots of blogs and forums to catch up on now.
I did some yarn shopping the other day and visited 3 yarn shops in Oslo I'd never been to before. Wow, what a fantastic experience. Look out for a future issue of Yarn Forward to read more about that. And yes, I did buy a tiny bit of yarn too, but not much.
I've finished three pairs of socks, two pairs I'd done one sock already and did the 2nd socks since we've been here and I knitted a complete plain pair toe up in the January Sockamania club yarn. No pics yet but I'll share pics when I get home. I'm working on another toe up pair now in cotton/tencel yarn.
I've just re-activated the shop and reduced the prices of all the yarn. So the New Year Sale is now on. All the yarn is reduced and some of it by quite a lot. There are also new club memberships listed so if you fancy joining be quick. Any yarn ordered between now and Sunday will be posted on Monday or Tuesday. I'll try to get it out onMonday but got an op on my mouth on Monday afternoon so there may not be enough time to get the parcels wrapped up and to the post office on Monday.
Happy shopping!

Low and behold it was the first sock I knit in your KAL's wow, you should see the difference in the two, one I knit yesterday and the other I made over a year and a half ago. First one I knit was shorter do to the August heat of 113 degrees farenhite and the one I made yesterday battling 26 degrees farenhite. ha ha. love them both. I am actually wearing the first pair I made today while casting on the match to the beautiful blue/green one. Hopefully I will finish before the end of Jan.
