Summer Sun is Fab

I love this hot weather we're having in Cornwall these days. It's gorgeous. Went up on Bodmin Moor yesterday and walked to an old quarry which is filled with water. It's really deep and very popular with local kids for swimming. Hubby used to go there all the time as a kid and when I first moved here, I worked at a local riding stable and used to go there in the summers too. In the winter we've been there when the ice was thick enough to walk on, which is very rare for Cornwall.

Took the kids to the quarry yesterday and they loved it and wanted to go back today. Think we'll be making frequent visits there over the summer hols. Today we've been to Cotehele House, which is beautiful and well worth a visit. It's between Saltash and Callington. Tomorrow we're hoping to head off to one of the beaches on the North Coast of Cornwall if the weather is still good.

With all this touristy stuff going on I've not had much time for knitting. But I have knitted a new felted bag in red Debbie Bliss Maya and yellow Lamb's Pride. It's very nice and the colours remind me of Spain so I may call the bag Fiesta. Not had time or energy to take pics yet but will try to get them done over the weekend.

Also finished a 'Fiesta' bag in Kureyon. It's a beautiful red, pink, lilac, yellow, orange and blue colour. Doesn't sound too great but it's fantastic. LOVE IT!!!!! Ordered it from a website in Canada ages ago and they offered free surface mail so opted for that and it's taken about 4ish weeks but well worth the wait. Got 3 different colours of Kureyon, which I haven't seen in the UK and some Lorna's Laces which is beautiful. Not planning to do socks though, but not decided exactly what to use it for yet.

And yes, someone is reading my blog. YIPPEYY. I've been advised to join a blog ring. If anyone know of any good rings to join please post me a comment. BTW, I've been put on a yarn diet. No more wool until I've knitted up what I've got. Better get busy. May get around the yarn diet by putting some stuff on Ebay next week if I can find the time to go through all my stash. I'm falling asleep already. Off for a spot of knitting now before bed. It's a design that'll be available on my website, www.annidesign.co.uk next week. More pics over the weekend.
