A Beautiful Long Weekend

We have two long weekends in the UK in May - one at the beginning of the month and one at the end - and for the first time for as long as I can remember we had beautiful, warm, sunny weather for both long weekends. This weekend both the girls were home and we spent a lot of time going for walks with our beautiful new Miniature Pinscher, Alfie, who's loving life in Cornwall.

 We went for walks on two different beaches as well as a walk on Dartmoor. On Sunday Simon and the girls took Alfie for a walk on Bodmin Moor too.

I finished my Laceball project last night and blocked it this morning.

I should really continue with my green Alpakka shawl but I've decided to cast on for a linen shawl instead. I'd like to finish this shawl and have the pattern ready by end of June as it's perfect for summer. I've not knitted with pure linen for years and I don't think I've ever knitted a shawl in linen yarn before.
