Introducing Emmeline

Emmeline was the last of the 2015 Beads & Lace Club patterns (the club is no longer running - I'm taking a break from clubs this year to focus on designing, teaching and writing my second book).

Emmeline is deisgned to showcase a small, luxurious skein of yarn but can easily be made bigger if you have more yarn available. Just work more repeats of Chart B. I used one 50g ball of Lotus Moon Night which has a generous 600m per 50g ball. That makes this yarn very fine. You can also use a thicker lace weight yarn, or even sock yarn, just make sure you have 600m and use a bigger needle.

Beads, added using the crochet hook method, add a bit of sparkle to this delicate, light as air triangular shawl which is worked from the bottom up.I would normally use size 8/0 beads for a yarn this fine but I used size 6/0 (which are bigger and the beads I normally use with sock/4 ply/fingering weight yarn) but I didn't have the colour I wanted in size 8/0 so I used the bigger size 6/0 beads.

Emmeline is 25% off until 29 Feb 2016. No coupon code needed. I will have this pattern for sale in print at Unravel this weekend but the 25% off offer only applies to the digital version.
