Agnes

Agnes is a stunning lace shawl scattered with beads. Wear this luxurious accessory over an evening dress for added glamour.

Agnes was the October pattern for the Beads & Lace Club and is now available for everyone. I'm offering a 25% discount on the pattern until end of January 2016. No coupon code needed.

Agnes is designed to take just one small skein of luxury yarn. The sample is knitted with  Lotus Yarns Silky Cashmere Fingering (which is a lace weight yarn) and takes just 365m/400yds (55g) of this luscious yarn. Alternatively, you can use Lotus Cashmere Fingering or Lotus Forest Dew. Beads are added using the crochet hook method, which is an easy way to add beads. See my video tutorial.

Agnes has a hybrid triangular shape which gives it a slightly rounded lower edge and shoulder shaping to help it sit nicely on your shoulders. Alternatively, bunch it up around your neck and wear it as a scarf. The silk and cashmere blend feels really luxurious around your neck on chilly winter days.

I've got a selection of suitable Lotus yarns in in the YarnAddict Shop. Order a skein of any of these luscious yarns before the end of January and get the pattern free as a pdf download (your free download code will be e-mailed to you with your dispatch e-mail).
