The COVER of VOGUE KNITTING!

Do you see that beautiful Beaded Shawl on the cover of Vogue Knitting? IT'S MY DESIGN! Apologies for shouting but I'm so excited about my design being on the cover of such an amazing magazine. This is my second design for Vogue Knitting and when Iwas asked about doing a beaded shawl for them I never imagined it would become the cover design.

I was really happy when they sent me the yarn for this shawl. I've swatched with Zealana yarns before but I've never knitted an entire project in this yarn before and their yarns are amazing. I got to knit with the luscious, luxurious Zelana Air. A beautiful blend of cashmere, possum and silk. This yarn creates a beautiful, light as air fabric with a gentle halo.

1500 seed beads are scattered throughout this crescent shaped shawl which is worked from the top down. But if you prefer fewer beads, you could not add the beads when working Chart A. The beads are added using the crochet hook method and I've got a video tutorial here. 

Apparently there's a very good review of my book, Beaded Lace Knitting, in the magazine too.

Vogue Knitting Holiday 2015 will be in the shops in the US on 3 November but I think the digital version will be available earlier. In the UK (and perhaps in the rest of Europe, I'm not sure) Vogue Knitting is now called Designer Knitting.
