I've had a busy week but between computer sessions grading and writing patterns, I've tried to sit outside as much as possible.
I've drunk large amounts of homemade fruity ice tea while knitting on the yellow cashmere thing, which is now blocking, and casting on for a new sweater in WY Spinners Blufaced Leicester DK. Love this yarn. This sweater is worked in the round and at the moment there are rounds after rounds of stocking stitch which I'm really enjoying.
I had the photoshoot for the techniques chapter of my book this week, which meant knitting a lot of swatches. The shoot itself was fun. I used a local photographer, Rob Frost, and it was his first time shooting close ups of knitting.
Last night we went down to Looe with my friend, Jo. Vanessa and Simon went for a swim. Afterwards we had ice creams and went to the pub for a drink. It was a beautiful evening.
