Making Me Happy!

I thought I'd start a weekly round up post of things that have made me happy in the last week.

Weatherwise its been a pretty bad week here. Its been raining since Christmas but this week the bad weather went to a whole new level of bad!. We've had pretty severe storms that seemed to break the South West of England. The main trainline in & out of our region was washed away, lots of local seaside towns have suffered flooding and our neighbours lost a tree.

Its been grey & dark this week but the bunch of daffodils I bought on Monday have been cheering me up all week. I rarely buy fresh flowers but I may start buying them more frequently. No sign of daffodils in the garden yet though.

Although its been a busy week and my neck/back has been bad, I did fit in a bit of sewing. I didn't want to spend time cutting so just grabbed a pack of pre-cut squares and got sewing. Not quite sure yet what I'm making, maybe a quilted tote, cushion or table runner.

In case you missed it, the Olympics have started & today I've been watching lots of skiing. During the last Olympics, the BBC didn't show any cross country skiing but today the BBC has made me very happy by showing both women's cross country and men's biathlon. Norway won Gold in both! That made me happy too!

These Olympic sweaters by Dale of Norway are making me happy too.
What has made you happy this week? Tell me in the comments!
