Happy Christmas!

I'd like to wish you all a wonderful Christmas!
I'm nearly ready for tomorrow now. Just a little bit of last minute cleaning and food preparation left to do. We're spending Christmas at home this year. I always feel a bit homesick for Norway when I spend Christmas in England but this year after seeing the travel chaos during the last few days, I'm kind of glad we're not having to travel this year. The awful weather that has caused the chaos seems to have passed us now and at the moment it's sunny. I'm hoping it'll last for the next 2 days.
We've finally decorated for Christmas. We always leave the decorating till the weekend before Christmas. I really don't like Christmas decorations too early. I'm also very influenced by Norwegian Christmas decorations in my choice of Christmas ornaments. There is no tinsel to be seen and I'm very picky when it comes to Christmas decorations. Most of my decorations are either from Norway or from Avon. I bought a selection of ornaments (like the plant pot decorations in the first photo and the santa below, he's keeping an eye on Em's piano) from Avon a few years ago.
We do have several Santas scattered around the lounge. This is my favourite. A friend of my grandmother made it years ago. My spinning wheel is in the background and I'm hoping to use that a bit this Christmas too.
I'm still knitting on a deadline project. I need to post it on Friday and it's not going as quickly as I thought it would. I'm only 2/3 of the way through. I'm considering abandoning this project for tomorrow and work on Em's fair isle mittens instead. I'm getting desperate for a change.
I'm also planning some sewing. I've cut out the fabric for a new bag, the Super Tote. This is a difficult pattern. I'm finding it rather challenging. I'm hoping to sneak off for some sewing this afternoon/evening after my chores are done.
I'm supposed to be on holiday for the next 10 days. Simon and the girls are off work and school and I want to tak as much time off as I can to spend time with them. After an incredibly busy year I need some time off but I know I'll sneak off to do a little bit of work now and then.

By the way, if you like my Facebook page there's a special pattern offer there for you. It's only valid till 26th December.

I Wish You All A Happy Christmas!
