Blog? What blog?

Kind of forgot about the blog for a while there. Last week is a bit of a black hole. I taught at Purlescence in Oxford the weekend before last and had a great day but the next day the dreaded headache came back. My headaches come from the tension in my neck and back and last week I was in a lot of pain. I taught again on Tuesday last week and that's about all I did last week. Felt a little bit better on Thursday so tried to get som work done but after about 45 mins at the computer the headache was back. We're not talking about a piddly mild headache here. I get those every day. I'm talking about a severe, head-banging headace! Right shoulder was really bad too. I'm pleased to say it's a lot better this week. But ofcourse I have a week of work to catch up on and I'm desperate to be all caught up by Friday so I can take some time off over Christmas and New Year. I've also done a ton of tidying the house up so we can decorate for Christmas this weekend.

Actually the most difficult thing about getting out of the blogging routine is starting again. I've got so much to share I don't know where to start so let's just do a quick photo re-cap then I can get back into the blogging groove.

I've been knitting but it's secret so I can't share. I've been doing a bit of sewing.
One of those is secret too as it's it's a present but I did make a bag for me too. Pictures are taken with my Nexus 7 and they're a bit rubbish. Turns out the camera on the Nexus 7 is a bit rubbish. Love this new bag which is another version of my 'Mollie Makes' bag. It's the perfect size but I should have used some heavier interfacing or fleese to give it some more stability. I also don't like the slip pockets I put in for my phone, pens etc as they're too close to the top fo the bag. I'm thinking of a few options to fix this bag as I do like it.
I blocked a new design which will be release in January. In fact there's been a lot of blocking going on. Most is secret projects though.
I seem to have acquired some new fabric. The elephants are from John Lewis in Bristol. We popped in on Friday when we picked Vanessa up from uni. The Russian Dolls are so gorgeous. I've got some Lamifix and I'm going to try to laminate that fabric and use it for a bag. I've got a pattern I want to use but may modify it a little bit. I've been a good girl and moved all my sewing stuff from the dining room table into my office. I'm planning to do sewing here from now on. There isn't much room but my desk is big. I'll still have to use the dining room table as a cutting table though.
I got some other fabric too but haven't photographed it yet. I'll share that soon.

The new Let's Knit is due out any day now and has my sweater on the cover. I'll blog more about that soon. I'm just waiting for the Ravelry listing to appear.
So that's what I've been up to. This week, I've got a knitting deadline to finish and work to catch up on. Yesterday I sent out the last of the 2013 Lace Lovers Club parcels and that means the end of hand-dyed yarn for me. My remaining hand-dyed stock is on the website now. I've been planning a new version of The Lace Lovers Club for 2014. Details and sign ups coming this week.

I've got lots of plans for 2014. One really big plan is coming together nicely and I should be able to start working on it in January which I'm really excited about. It was on my 'goals' list for this year so I'm pleased it's happening now. I'll share more as soon as all is signe and sealed.

What have you been up to?
