Fair Isle Yoke Sweater

Have you seen the new issue of Knitting (issue 123) yet? If not, then get down to your nearest newsagent & grab a copy now. Its full of fab designs including my fair isle yoke sweater.
This sweater has corrugated ribs around the neck and hems and a pretty fair isle pattern around the yoke. Lots of relaxing, quick stocking stitch knitted in the round with just enough fair isle to make it fun. Perfect if you're new to fair isle and find sweaters with lots of fair isle a bit intimidating.
The body and the sleeves are worked in the round to the underarm. They are then joined and the yoke is worked in one piece with some short rows to shape the back neck.
The sweater has waist shaping, 3/4 length sleeves and a wide, shallow neckline. Prefer longer sleeves? Its easy to adjust the sleeve length. Just knit them longer before you start the yoke.

This sweater was worked in Artesano British Wool Bluface Blend DK which is a lovely pure wool perfect for fair isle but still soft and its spun in Britain using British wool.

Perfect winter weekend sweater!
