Busy Knitting!

Every time I look in my diary I want to panic when i see how many deadlines I've got coming up this month and in early April. But panicking won't get me anywhere. I've got a team of excellent knitters helping me. I'm working on one of my deadline projects. It's a little lacy something in Manos del Uruguay Silk Blend Fino which is fast becoming one of my favourite yarns. I won't say anything more about this design for now as it's for a magazine but I'm really looking forward to when it's published.
I've cast on for the shawl which will accompany the Lace Lovers Club parcels in April. For the next round of the Lace Lovers Club members will get an exclusive pattern each month. The pattern will be designed especially for that month's yarn and will be exclusive for 3 months. I knitted up 3/4 of this yarn then realised the shawl wasn't going to turn out at all like I wanted. Ripped it all out and cast on again.
This time I'm loving it but I am a bit worried that I'm using up yarn quicker than I thought I would. I've got quite a bit further than in the photo above and I've used up over half the yarn. I've done some rough calculations and I think it'll be okay.

I've had a couple of lovely parcels in the last week. I had quite a bit of yarn arrive for upcoming magazine designs and most of that has gone straight off to my wonderful knitters. But I have got some for me too.

I got 2 bundles of gradated yarn from Colourshift Yarn. A bundle going from pale pink to red.
And a bundle of violets and purples.
I've not quite decided what to knit with this set yet but it'll be a shawl of some sort, making the most of the colour shifts. I also got 2 extra skeins for swatching which I thought was very kind.
The Sweet Georgia Yarns February Fiber Club parcel arrived. I haven't touched my wheel for a while but this has gotten me itching to spin again. I had planned to start something else and I've got one spinning project already on the wheel and a bobbin waiting to be navajo plyed. Think I'll need to spin more. This pretty bundle is merino/silk/nylon and sparkly silver bits.
Look at all the beautiful colours. I'm thinking this will have to be navajo plyed to make the most of those colours. I'm not sure if i want to do two navajo projects in a row though.
What are you knitting or spinning at the moment? Tell me in the comments.

And don't forget to check out Saturday's post to win some gorgeous Artesano Definition sock yarn.
