Name Competition

I've decided to have a name competition for the new Organic Merino Shawl. I can't think of a name. It's incredibly soft, warm and feels very comforting to wear. Like wearing 'a big hug'.
I'm planning to offer this pattern as a fundrainsing pattern for Shelter Box. But more about that tomorrow or Friday. I don't have time to write about all the details and the good work Shelter Box do now.
If you'd like to enter this competition. Write your suggestion in the comments and check back on Monday when I announce the winner. The winner will win two skeins of sock yarn suitable to knit this pattern and a copy of hte pattern. I'm hoping to have the pattern ready by next week and more on the fundraising tomorrow or Friday.

It looks very comfy! Why don't you call it "Hugs"?
Still cold on the westcoast- we've had the best winter in ages!!!

Hi Anni, I think you should call it Lappland, Fjord, Frost or Ice because the simple, yet elegant shape and lace pattern reminds me of the snowy and icy mountain slopes in northern Scandinavia. My husband suggests Aurora borealis or only Borealis. He is going to Lappland for a dog sleigh holiday in a month and he is already longing for the northern light!

The shawl is beautiful! I will knit it as soon as the pattern is published!

Gorgeous shawl, the name "Cherish" springs to my mind.

Shelter box is a worthy cause to raise money for and I will be waiting to purchase this one :)

What about "Cherish"?

It looks lovely!

How about 'Molly' after Molly Weasley in the Harry Potter books? There's something about the shawl that makes me think of her friendly, cosy kitchen...

Or seeing as you're supporting shelter box, what about something like shelter e.g. "haven" or "sanctuary"

Lovely shawl & I love the border. The first name that came into my mind is "Hug Me Tight" when I saw the picture of the shawl all wrapped around the model.

How about 'Loving Arms', invoking the cuddly hug aspect and also the giving aspect of Shelter Box!
