Just a quick post today. I've listed some new patterns. The Manos Buenas Mitts pattern I talked about yesterday has been listed. It comes with 2 sizes and requires a 100gr skein of merino aran/worsted.I've also listed the fingerless mitts pattern for Kaleidoscope. You can now knit matching socks and mitts as both sock pattern and mitts pattern are now available. The two patterns are sold separately and together at a discounted price. And finally Sockamania's New Years Socks are now available for everyone to purchase.Remember those jobs I talked about yesterday? Well how many do you think i've got done today? Well I'm not telling you, my husband reads this blog but I'm off to do some more clothes folding now. YAWN.
Oh and nearly forgot. Two weeks ago I started Weight Watchers. I'm not telling you my weight or how much I need to loose but we're talking several stones here. Anyway, last week I lost 3 pounds which considering I've got an underactive thyroid and lots of pain problems I'm happy with, very happy in fact as the thyroid makes losing weight mor edifficult. Well this week, my weigh in was this morning, I wasn't expecting to lose anything as I've had a difficult week anyway, but as our kitchen is out of action, we were invited to a friend's for a lovely meal on Saturday evening. She cooked a gorgeous Beef & Cider Pie and homemade profiteroles. Loved it and yes, I had an extra helping of profiteroles.
Then on Sunday we went ot my inlaws for roast dinner. My mother in law had done a roast turkey with Christmas Pudding and ice cream for dessert. Never realised how good ice cream tastes with Christmas pudding. Had seconds of that too so I was mighty relieved this morning when I lost a pound. Take away tonight, no pancakes here as kitchen still out of action. girls a bit upset but promised them I'd do pancakes when the kitchen is ready. They love pancakes and I always do them on pancake day. I do them the Norwegian way which isn't a lot different from the English way. In Norway we eat them with ieither sugar or blueberry jam but I can never find blueberry jam here so have either sugar or choc sauce on mine. I'm feeling hungry already........

No blueberry jam?! Do they just not have any in the stores there? When I lived in Washington state, blueberries grew wild--along with blackberries. I could always send you a jar or two if you want.
Lovely mitts. I sure hope they get your kitchen done soon. It's very hard to lose weight when you are eating out or at kind friends homes--who are cooking to impress. Good luck!
If you can find any bilberry jam - you'll find it tastes similar. Blueberries are becoming more common here though, so I imagine jam will follow....
Beautiful patterns, Anni. Congrats on your weight loss so far. I'm afraid I indulged in pancakes on Tues. until I felt sick, and yes, I'm supposed to be trying to lose weight too!
My goodness you've been busy - I put the weight loss down to speed knitting! Well done.
The patterns are very pretty - I can never get enough of mitts!
You can get wild blueberry jam in any Tesco or Sainsbury?! Don't tell me it's different down there in Cornwall, anni (I know you need a passport to get across the border and all that, but...) Ill have to take you some and leave it at Spin-a-Yarn. or maybe not since it's congrats on the weightloss. (I completely forgot Pancake day!)
I love the new patterns. By the way, from someone who lives in the US, what is a profiteroles?
