Introducing Bamboo

I've got a new sock yarn which I've been looking forward to introducing since Ally Pally back in October. It's a bamboo mix sock yarn and contains 75% wool and 25% bamboo. The bamboo shows up in the dyeing and makes the colour a bit heathered looking, not quite as saturated as plain wool. Love the effect it gives the colours. Only a few skeins today as I'm in a bit of a hurry. More to follow later in the week. And lots more to be dyed.

Look at this gorgeous big pile of yarn, it's mainly bamboo sock yarn but also some superwash wool. I'm not telling you where it's going yet but it's not for my Etsy shop.

Here are my 3 favorites from the pile.

Thank you to all of those who gave your advice on the button question below. I took all your advice and changed it slightly and this is what I came up with. And the reason I needed to make one can be seen here. Scroll down a bit and look in the sidebar.

I'm working on a new button for Sockamania now. I've been bitting by the bug.

Took these photos today. These are unedited yet but they may turn into buttons too or labels for my yarn. Needs a bit of finetuning first though.

Same basket of yarn but the bottom one definitely got a touch of the blues.

Oh the yarn is lovely. I will have to try the bamboo one of these days. Of your three favorits I love the one on the right. I would love to have a pile of yarn like that even if it was just to look at. It is so beautiful
